صفت تساوی as.......as

اگر دو اسـم، صفتـی را به طور یـکسـان داشـتـه باشـند از سـاختار صفـت تسـاوی استفاده مـی شـود.

( as + صفت + as )

1- My hand writing is as ……..as my sister s handwriting.

2- This story book is ……… that one.

a) more interesting                  b) as interesting as

c) the most interesting             d) interesting

3- Her voice is as……… as mine.

صفت تفضیلی (برتری)

این صفت، برتری یک شخص و یا یک شیء را نسبت به شخص یا شیء دیگر بیان می کند. صفت ها را به دو بخش تقسیم می کنیم.

صفت های یک بخشی و یا یک سیلابی و صفت های چند بخشی. اگر صفت یک بخشی باشد کافی است که er به آن اضافه کنیم و بدنبال آن than را قرار بدهیم.

صفت یک بخشی+ er + than

1. John is .......... than his sister.

این صفت برتری یک شخص و یا یک شیء را نسبت به چند شخص و یا چند شیء بیان می کند. اگر صفت یک بخشی باشد از این فرمول استفاده می کنیم.
